Sometimes you want France. Or Italy. Or at least the feeling that your holiday happened “somewhere far away and beautiful”. But there is a clever southern shortcut: you don’t have to search for Provence — it’s right next door.
This tour is about Moldova, not as a “neighbouring country”, but as a place you discover through taste. First comes Purcari — a wine classic with history, tradition and that unmistakable sense that “everything here is taken seriously”. This is the kind of place where a tasting feels like a cultural experience, not “oh, let’s try one more”.
Then comes a contrast that makes the day even better: EtCetera. A family winery where things are guided less by protocol and more by love — for the land, the craft and the people. Here, they don’t simply pour wine — they explain how wine becomes a character, not just a drink.
Between tastings, there’s a placinta-making workshop. Because the perfect snack does not always appear by itself: sometimes you have to make it with your own hands (and then proudly say at home, “Yes, I made that — why do you ask?”). The finale is the return to Odesa with bags that seem suspiciously cheerful and smell like a very good decision.
And yes: the beauty of this tour is that everything is close, full of flavour and wonderfully scenic. One day — and it feels like you’ve had a proper holiday.
Tour program
- Start: Odesa 9:00–11:00 — transfer from Odesa to Purcari with commentary along the way. The road becomes the prologue: stories of the region, wine traditions and the mood of the journey.
- Purcari Winery 11:00–12:30 — guided tour and tasting. Discover the legendary brand, soak up the atmosphere and taste Moldova for yourself.
- Transfer Purcari → EtCetera 12:30–13:00 — a short transfer and a change of scenery: a different wine philosophy lies ahead, but with the same southern character.
- EtCetera Winery 13:00–15:30 — guided tour and wine tasting, plus a placinta-making workshop. Here, flavour is not only in the glass, but also in the warmth of the kitchen.

We recommend bringing
Dress comfortably and for the weather: comfortable shoes are a must, as the day includes not only bus travel but also walking at several stops. Bring water and, if needed, a hat — the sun outside the city tends to be even more direct. Make sure your phone is fully charged: beautiful views will appear far more often than power sockets. And you can leave the good mood at home — it usually shows up on its own along the way.

Frequently asked questions about the tour
Do I need a passport?
Yes. This is a trip to Moldova, so travel documents are required. It’s better to check them in advance than remember at the border.
What’s special about visiting two different wineries?
Purcari is all about tradition, scale and wine with a history.
EtCetera is about family philosophy, soul and personal involvement. Two different characters in one day.
What is the placinta-making workshop?
It’s not about “watching someone cook”. You make it with your own hands. And afterwards, you can proudly say: yes, I made that.
Is the tour still worth it if I don’t drink alcohol?
Absolutely. Winery tours are about history, winemaking techniques, atmosphere and gastronomy. And the placinta-making workshop is just as enjoyable whether you drink wine or not.
How can I pay for the tour?
You can pay for the tour:
- online through our website
- by bank card transfer (our managers will send the payment details by SMS)
- in cash at our office,or directly to the guide during the tour
What are the cancellation and refund terms if your plans suddenly take a different turn?
We understand — life can be a bit like an Odesa tram, suddenly changing its route. If you cancel the booking yourself and let us know in advance, the refund will be as follows:
- 7 calendar days before the event — 100% of the full price will be refunded
- 72 hours before the event starts — 50% will be refunded
- 1 day before the event — 25% will be refunded
Where do we meet, and how do I know it’s our bus and guide — not just someone else standing there looking important?
The meeting point is listed on the tour page and in your booking confirmation. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early — that gives you enough time to find the group and still look like you were the first one there.
What should I wear and bring with me, besides a good mood (which is highly recommended too)?
Comfortable shoes are a must. Water is recommended. In summer — bring a hat and sun protection; in cooler seasons — a jacket suitable for the weather. If you’re planning to take lots of photos — charge your phone: Odesa knows how to fill up your memory fast.
